Hiring a Video Team for Your Phoenix Law Office

A stack of old books on a wooden desk

A good video lets people meet you before they ever walk into your office. For a law firm, that matters: clients are trusting you with something big. But if you've never hired a video crew, it's hard to know what to look for. Here's what we'd check if we were in your shoes.

1. Experience and portfolio

Watch their work. Does it look and feel like something you'd be proud to put your name on? Look for a crew that has filmed people like you: professionals who need to come across as sharp, warm and credible.

2. They understand your world

Legal advertising comes with rules, and your state bar cares about them. Your crew doesn't need a law degree, but they should listen when you flag what you can and can't say, and build the script around it. Final sign-off on wording is always yours.

3. Communication

You're busy. Pick a crew that answers quickly, asks good questions and takes the time to understand what you want the video to do. If the first few emails are a struggle, the shoot will be too.

4. Gear

Cameras, lighting and sound all matter, sound most of all. Nobody will trust advice they can't hear clearly. Ask what they shoot with and how they handle audio in an office full of hard surfaces.

5. Location and setup

Your office is part of your story. A good crew will scout the space, find the best light and angles, and tell you what to tidy before shoot day so your firm looks its best.

6. Cost

Prices vary a lot depending on the scope, the crew and the gear. Be upfront about your budget and expect a straight answer about what it buys. Be careful with quotes that seem too good to be true: they usually are.

7. Timeline

Ask for a clear schedule from the first call to the final cut, and expect to hear about any changes early, not the day before.

8. Reputation

Read the reviews and ask for references. Past clients will tell you what it was really like to work with them.

Take your time choosing. The right crew will make you look like yourself on a good day, which is exactly who clients want to hire.
