Why Phoenix Has a Fast-Growing Film and Video Community

Phoenix has become a great place to make films and video. We've watched the local community grow up around us, and we're proud to be part of it.

Here's what's driving it.

The Locations

Within a short drive of Phoenix you'll find desert, mountains, forests, canyons and a big modern city. That range means one region can stand in for a lot of places, which makes it easier and more affordable to shoot here.

The Weather

Sunshine most of the year means fewer rain days and more reliable schedules. Summer heat takes some planning (early call times are your friend), but the light here is hard to beat.

The People

The real strength of any film community is its people. Phoenix has a growing pool of filmmakers, crew, actors and editors, plus schools and groups that help new talent learn the craft and find work. More people making things means more collaboration, and better work for everyone.

Good for the City

When productions shoot locally, the money stays local too: crews, caterers, rental houses, hotels and small businesses all feel it. It also gives Arizona talent a reason to stay and build careers here instead of moving to Los Angeles.

We're a Phoenix video production company, and we're excited to see where this community goes next.
